The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pratas da Casa FC's zone, Chiquinho Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Gustavo Pereira came out of the goal and Chiquinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind RafaelAndersonWagner FC's goalkeeper Ernani Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Pratas da Casa FC's Luís Gustavo Pereira got control of the ball when Romeu Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. RafaelAndersonWagner FC's Romeu Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Pratas da Casa FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
