Norberto Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Bertassi's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th match minute, Pendencias AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Carlos da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. If Virgílio Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Geovanni Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Dorival Bertassi made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fernando Gonçalves might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cido Dionísio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pendencias AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joaquim Koehler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norberto Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pendencias AD's zone, Geovanni Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cido Dionísio came out of the goal and Geovanni Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovanni Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Bertassi in the 94th minute of play forced Argoim's goalkeeper Norberto Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pendencias AD's Cido Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Favoretto in the 95th minute of play. Cido Dionísio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Argoim had played much better football throughout.
