Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zé Roberto Marquez made the kick off which started today's match. Enio Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Marquez in the 7th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Esmires Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Teixeira. Enio Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Roberto Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Esmires Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Marquez came free, but Enio Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Florian in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurinho Neiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Esmires Futebol's Enio Velasco got control of the ball when Lucas Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Luz scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enio Velasco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enio Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Luz went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, NEW YORK TITANS's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Passos came free, but Maurinho Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Florian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Maurinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Passos in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Florian in the 43rd minute of play forced NEW YORK TITANS's goalkeeper Maurinho Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enio Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Marquez in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Florian was the one to do the kick off. Valdir Cosme's late challenge caught a Esmires Futebol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Esmires Futebol booed when NEW YORK TITANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Maurinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esmires Futebol's Jorge Florian got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, NEW YORK TITANS's Laércio Bittencourt got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jorge Florian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Maurinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maurinho Neiva was a little too slow when Murillo Passos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in NEW YORK TITANS's zone, Murillo Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurinho Neiva came out of the goal and Murillo Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enio Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Maurinho Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Florian in the 98th minute.
