The supporters of Arcangelo booed when Solarestival was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Jano Novaes in the 24th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Enrique Antunes's left hand side. In the 25th minute Manuel Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Cruz's late challenge caught a Arcangelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arcangelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Manuel Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcangelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaltino Neiva during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Solarestival getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Isaltino Neiva hit a great ball. The Solarestival supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arcangelo's performance. The match ended with a win for Arcangelo.
