A wasted opportunity for Peladeiros. 36 minutes into the game, Duarte Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Fudilson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peladeiros the free kick. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Peladeiros. Francisco Montenegro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bruno Leão. 0-2. Manuel Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Leão having to interfere. In the 46th minute Manuel Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 78 minutes of play, Peladeiros's Manuel Moura made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute Valdemar das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Leão was a little too slow when Manuel Moura got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-7. Manuel Moura might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Edvaldo Coutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peladeiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. 92 minutes into the game, one of S.C. Fudilson:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Bruno Leão, was totally fooled by Peladeiros's Francisco Montenegro, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The S.C. Fudilson fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peladeiros were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
