Waldemar Batista started the match with the kick off. Ahmed Amri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delfim Tróia went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, A.E. Promoon's goalkeeper Ahmed Amri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delfim Tróia. After 10 played minutes A.E. Promoon got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Munhoz. Benjamim Ramos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 23rd minute, Itapipoca SS's Genílson Alvarenga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After a rather tough play, A.E. Promoon's Júlio Munhoz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Benjamim Ramos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmed Amri came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamim Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Ahmed Amri was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Arlindo Donato. After 34 minutes, Júlio Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.E. Promoon and the Itapipoca SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Itapipoca SS booed when A.E. Promoon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmed Amri was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anísio Cordeiro. After a rather tough play, A.E. Promoon's Júlio Munhoz got a free kick in the 37th minute. Osmar da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamim Ramos made a kick off. A collision led to Itapipoca SS getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Arlindo Donato hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, A.E. Promoon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Antunes to maneuver through the defense. A.E. Promoon's Ahmed Amri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Alvarenga in the 73rd minute of play. Itapipoca SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Waldemar Batista scored to the left of an out of position Osmar da Silveira, making the score, 3-1. Waldemar Batista in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osmar da Silveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 84th minute, A.E. Promoon's Júlio Munhoz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Umberto Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waldemar Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Osmar da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, A.E. Promoon's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Alvarenga came free, but Ahmed Amri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.E. Promoon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Itapipoca SS.
