Spectators: 6994 (Terracing: 5494, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luiz Gustavo do Vale got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th match minute, Itapipoca SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Diniz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo do Vale in the 9th minute of play forced Itapipoca SS's goalkeeper Osmar da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genílson Alvarenga took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duarte Tróia. Duarte Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rio Negro do Norte's Duarte Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Ramos in the 14th minute of play. Adriano Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar da Silveira having to interfere. Edward Juzda kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Osmar da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Adriano Baiano sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo do Vale in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osmar da Silveira saved Itapipoca SS from getting behind. Thiago Donatello charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thiago Donatello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thiago Donatello hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Itapipoca SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luiz Gustavo do Vale fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Duarte Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Tróia in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ronaldo Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Negro do Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Gustavo do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Itapipoca SS's zone, Ronaldo Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar da Silveira came out of the goal and Ronaldo Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Rio Negro do Norte players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itapipoca SS were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamim Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldão Pontes during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronaldão Pontes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Luiz Gustavo do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Adriano Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmar da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osmar da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Duarte in the 74th minute of the match. Adriano Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar da Silveira having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Thiago Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 81 minutes, Adriano Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Negro do Norte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelsinho Goiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Osmar da Silveira. Itapipoca SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Itapipoca SS's zone, Luiz Gustavo do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar da Silveira came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rio Negro do Norte's Luiz Gustavo do Vale in 85 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Osmar da Silveira guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Osmar da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Thiago Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itapipoca SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Rio Negro do Norte's Luisinho Hermes got a free kick in the 97th minute.
