Osmar da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benjamim Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 22 minutes into the match, Itapipoca SS's Delfim Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, André Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Osmar da Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osmar da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Batista in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, S.C. Fudilson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otávio Teles to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamim Ramos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Leão saved S.C. Fudilson from getting behind. When Delfim Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Itapipoca SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Tróia couldn't finish the play. Delfim Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Batista in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osmar da Silveira saved Itapipoca SS from getting behind. Itapipoca SS's Osmar da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Batista in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 52nd minute, Delfim Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bruno Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, S.C. Fudilson's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Ramos came free, but Bruno Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Itapipoca SS's Osmar da Silveira got control of the ball when André Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute of the match Adriano Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Leão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Itapipoca SS's Anísio Cordeiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Tróia in the 80th minute of play forced S.C. Fudilson's goalkeeper Bruno Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to S.C. Fudilson getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Túlio Xavier hit a great ball. If Delfim Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otávio Teles charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Teles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes S.C. Fudilson got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Teles. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. S.C. Fudilson had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
