Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfredão Batista took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of S.C. Fudilson booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5thth minute of the game Alfredão Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Osmar Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, Natanael Furlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Natanael Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Natanael Furlan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Leão. S.C. Fudilson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Natanael Furlan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nuno Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bruno Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Natanael Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lenílson Marquez hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Nuno Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Waldemar Ceresso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Leão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Bruno Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Lenílson Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Fudilson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio FBPA the free kick. After a rather tough play, S.C. Fudilson's Lenílson Marquez got a free kick in the 45th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Pimenta in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Leão saved S.C. Fudilson from getting behind.

The wind increased when Natanael Furlan made the kick off in the second half. When Natanael Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Grêmio FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natanael Furlan couldn't finish the play. Nuno Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grêmio FBPA's Nuno Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Leão didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Grêmio FBPA's Natanael Furlan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Nuno Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute of the match Duarte Botelho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmar Vidal skillfully saved the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when André Marquez came free, but Osmar Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lenílson Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Grêmio FBPA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.C. Fudilson.
