The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kléber Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Soares having to interfere. A collision led to Feirinha getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Frederico Capixaba hit a great ball. Feirinha's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glauco Félix in the 16th minute. Glauco Félix made a great header on Feirinha's corner, it was just that Blindão F.C's Marcelinho Mazza managed to reach the ball for a save. Régis Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marcelinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luan Vergílio in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Régis Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelinho Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Juvenal Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luan Vergílio's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Kléber Recife got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luan Vergílio was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Kléber Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blindão F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléber Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juvenal Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Blindão F.C's Luan Vergílio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Laerte Britto came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Feirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laerte Britto couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luan Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Britto in the 67th minute of play forced Blindão F.C's goalkeeper Marcelinho Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Vergílio in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Blindão F.C booed when Feirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kléber Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luan Vergílio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Laerte Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Feirinha's Laerte Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
