Spectators: 7281 (Terracing: 5463, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kauã dos Santos started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Nildo Lima put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Torgeir Lie. If Kauã dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torgeir Lie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Lima in the 12th minute of play. Torgeir Lie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kauã dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kauã dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Fonseca having to interfere. After 24 played minutes EC Guará - FPEMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Camargo. Célio Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torgeir Lie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã dos Santos in the 42nd minute of play forced TIU Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ramón Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Lima was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Kauã dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramón Fonseca was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. EC Guará - FPEMZ's Paulo José Xavier managed to work through TIU Futebol Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Paulo José Xavier dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ramón Fonseca came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Guará - FPEMZ's Kauã dos Santos. But to his dismay, Kauã dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Paulo José Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Fonseca having to interfere. When Kauã dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the EC Guará - FPEMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Cido Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Lima in the 74th minute of play forced EC Guará - FPEMZ's goalkeeper Torgeir Lie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Paulo José Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Guará - FPEMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo José Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramón Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauã dos Santos took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Fonseca. Ramón Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Paulo José Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ramón Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that EC Guará - FPEMZ were the better team. EC Guará - FPEMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
