In the 91stth minute of the game Tostão Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but cuiabá's César Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. cuiabá's Delfim Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute José Augusto Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over cuiabá could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MubaaK F.C.B throughout the match.
