If Genílson Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Monteiro was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Chuva de Fogo's Geovanni Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Wiliam Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute of the game, Tomé Quirino landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Filipe Brodel hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes Pacu got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Félix. 18 minutes into the game, Geovanni Mendonça recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ronaldão Varela. Geovanni Mendonça showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Wiliam Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre de Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovanni Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre de Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. Chuva de Fogo's Filipe Brodel got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Filipe Brodel off the ground. In the 37th match minute, Chuva de Fogo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Brodel to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Wiliam Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ronaldão Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Chuva de Fogo's goalkeeper Geovanni Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiliam Pena. Wiliam Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Geovanni Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Wiliam Pena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Geovanni Monteiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldão Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pacu fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Pacu's Wiliam Pena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wiliam Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Geovanni Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pacu's Ronaldão Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Mendonça in the 88th minute of play. Geovanni Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wiliam Pena in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Pacu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chuva de Fogo.
