Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dalmo Salles got the match started through his kick off. Leonardo Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Monteiro having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Telmo de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chuva de Fogo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Theresinenses FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chuva de Fogo's Telmo de Queiroz got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Chuva de Fogo's Geovanni Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agostinho Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 20thth minute of the game Paulo Valladares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Theresinenses FC's Agostinho Mazza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theresinenses FC's Agostinho Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Brodel in the 25th minute of play. Agostinho Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Paulo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Agostinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafa Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanni Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Geovanni Monteiro came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Theresinenses FC's Rafa Mendes. But to his dismay, Rafa Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chuva de Fogo's zone, Dalmo Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Monteiro came out of the goal and Dalmo Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes Chuva de Fogo got a freekick which was hit by Telmo de Queiroz. When Dalmo Salles fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Theresinenses FC's protests and gave Dalmo Salles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Theresinenses FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dalmo Salles hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Valladares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 54 in the game by Geovanni Mendonça from a close distance when the talented Agostinho Mazza managed to make a qualified save. Theresinenses FC's players were relieved. Geovanni Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Valladares got in the 63rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Agostinho Mazza handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Leonardo Araújo's late challenge caught a Chuva de Fogo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Theresinenses FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Agostinho Mazza made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Geovanni Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute Leonardo Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafa Mendes struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Geovanni Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Theresinenses FC. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
