An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Félix in the 19th minute of play forced Tiradentes's goalkeeper Rogério Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Pena got free with Rogério Perez in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Germano Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiradentes's protests and gave Germano Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. During the 40th minute of the match Germano Domingues completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Germano Domingues a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Lima made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pacu's zone, Christian Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Varela came out of the goal and Christian Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Carlos Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiradentes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pacu had played much better football throughout.
