The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Veli Cevher struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Geovanni Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.A.Jeromina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Dracena in the 6th minute of play forced Chuva de Fogo's goalkeeper Geovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Dracena might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovanni Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remo Dracena ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes Chuva de Fogo got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Mendonça. Remo Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Chuva de Fogo defense, Reinaldo Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Monteiro. The Chuva de Fogo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanni Monteiro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Freitas in the 22nd minute of play forced Chuva de Fogo's goalkeeper Geovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Chuva de Fogo defense, Veli Cevher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Monteiro. The Chuva de Fogo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanni Monteiro should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Ernani Veiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nurullah Aslan, 1-2. After 32 minutes of play, G.A.Jeromina's Remo Dracena made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanni Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernani Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Nurullah Aslan made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Veiga got free with Nurullah Aslan in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nurullah Aslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Valladares in the 38th minute of the match. Veli Cevher struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Geovanni Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.A.Jeromina. Remo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chuva de Fogo's zone, Remo Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanni Monteiro came out of the goal and Remo Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Chuva de Fogo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. G.A.Jeromina were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Paulo Valladares made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Veli Cevher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G.A.Jeromina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veli Cevher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Veli Cevher sped through Chuva de Fogo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geovanni Monteiro. Veli Cevher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Veli Cevher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Dracena struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Geovanni Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G.A.Jeromina. Remo Dracena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Geovanni Monteiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 70th play minutes Veli Cevher shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Geovanni Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Chuva de Fogo booed when G.A.Jeromina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Remo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Veli Cevher made a precise shot to the right of Geovanni Monteiro. Chuva de Fogo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Chuva de Fogo's Paulo Valladares pulled a muscle in his back after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Zé Paulo Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remo Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Monteiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, G.A.Jeromina's Remo Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanni Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Monteiro having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Veli Cevher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G.A.Jeromina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veli Cevher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. G.A.Jeromina played a much better game than Chuva de Fogo and deserved their victory. The Chuva de Fogo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
