Ulisses Mello hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. ɱarceline XVII's Róbson Falcão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Abaitinga FC. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abaitinga FC's goalkeeper Kajetan Gmoch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sandro Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Prestes struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Kajetan Gmoch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ɱarceline XVII. The supporters of Abaitinga FC booed when ɱarceline XVII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Germano Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Geovani Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abaitinga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcinho Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute Ulisses Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kajetan Gmoch having to interfere. Abaitinga FC's Geovani Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Sandro Prestes made the kick off in the second half. Abaitinga FC's Kajetan Gmoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Prestes in the 53rd minute of play. Abaitinga FC's Ramiro das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulisses Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marcinho Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Ulisses Mello notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ɱarceline XVII's Marcinho Tinoco. Marcinho Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sandro Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kajetan Gmoch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcinho Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sandro Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. After 86 minutes, Ramiro das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abaitinga FC and the ɱarceline XVII players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Abaitinga FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro das Neves. Róbson Falcão, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sandro Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ɱarceline XVII supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Abaitinga FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Abaitinga FC.
