Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dalmo Salles made the kick off which started today's match. When Alexandre de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Pacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre de Toledo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiliam Pena in the 8th minute of play forced Theresinenses FC's goalkeeper Agostinho Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Jânio Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tomé Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacu's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Theresinenses FC's zone, Jânio Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agostinho Mazza came out of the goal and Jânio Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theresinenses FC's Dalmo Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Jânio Cunha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Theresinenses FC's Agostinho Mazza. Agostinho Mazza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agostinho Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jânio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Wiliam Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Agostinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Theresinenses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jânio Cunha came free, but Agostinho Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jânio Cunha made a kick off. Jorginho Andrade got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rafa Mendes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Cunha got free with Agostinho Mazza in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th match minute, Theresinenses FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pacu defense, Dalmo Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldão Varela. The Pacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Varela should have stopped the shot. Theresinenses FC's Dalmo Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agostinho Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jânio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Agostinho Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacu. A hard shot 72 in the game by Jânio Cunha from a close distance when the talented Agostinho Mazza managed to make a qualified save. Theresinenses FC's players were relieved. Rafa Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Rafa Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jânio Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Agostinho Mazza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dalmo Salles hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Pacu's Ronaldão Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Araújo in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pacu's zone, Dalmo Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Varela came out of the goal and Dalmo Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rafa Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Varela having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
