When Genílson Félix came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Genílson Félix couldn't finish the play. Pacu's Ronaldão Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Torres in the 19th minute of play. Genílson Félix's late challenge caught a Jessa F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Félix helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pacu's Genílson Félix got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Félix in the 26th minute of play forced Jessa F.C's goalkeeper Gualter Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jânio Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pacu's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Pena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter Paraíba having to make a save. When Jânio Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Pacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jânio Cunha couldn't finish the play. Jessa F.C's Valdomiro Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Genílson Félix hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th match minute, Pacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pacu defense, Claudinho Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldão Varela. The Pacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldão Varela should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Claudinho Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ronaldão Varela. Claudinho Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Pacu's zone, Claudinho Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldão Varela came out of the goal and Claudinho Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pacu's Wiliam Pena got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Aníbal Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jessa F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wiliam Pena struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Gualter Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacu. Claudinho Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ronaldão Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pacu manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Jessa F.C to win.
