Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) After a defensive mix-up in Goulart's zone, Basílio Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Sabóia came out of the goal and Basílio Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Penha in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sílvio Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Penha in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes of play, SER ITATIAIA's Marco Mandrak made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabiën van Steensel made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Kaká Brodel sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute of the match Leonel Boni sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. Marco Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sílvio Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiën van Steensel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Cordeiro in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SER ITATIAIA's zone, Luiz Fabiano da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiën van Steensel came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Basílio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goulart's Sílvio Sabóia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sílvio Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Penha in the 26th minute of the match. Léo Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Léo Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SER ITATIAIA booed when Goulart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Fernandão Palmeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anísio Tinoco during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Marco Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basílio Penha made a kick off. Marco Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sílvio Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kaká Brodel fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goulart's protests and gave Kaká Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SER ITATIAIA booed when Goulart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basílio Penha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Sílvio Sabóia 56 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Kaká Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goulart fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Goulart's Sílvio Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Penha in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Marco Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Sabóia having to interfere. In the 80th minute, José Pedro Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Boni took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Sabóia. Goulart's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sílvio Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiën van Steensel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hortêncio Cordeiro went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Marco Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goulart's Sílvio Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Goulart from getting a goal against them. SER ITATIAIA's Fernandão Palmeira got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded SER ITATIAIA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Goulart.
