Spectators: 6386 (Terracing: 5386, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cacá Peres started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute of the match Cido de Alcântara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Hermes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 4thth minute of the game Gernando Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.A.Francana's Daniel Hermes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to A.A.Francana getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Virgílio Nogueira hit a great ball. Gernando Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Daniel Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgílio Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, A.A.Francana's Virgílio Nogueira got a free kick in the 19th minute. Valdomiro Pimenta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Geovani Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guaimim FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gernando Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Daniel Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.A.Francana's Daniel Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Quadros in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, A.A.Francana's Pedro Paulo Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Paulo Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 0-2 became the score in the 32nd minute when Geovani Mendes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Mendes in the 37th minute of play. Luís Paulo Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Cacá Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaimim FC's Luís Paulo Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Peres in the 45th minute of play. Váldson Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Váldson Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

A.A.Francana's Virgílio Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cacá Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 76 minutes, Aírton Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.A.Francana and the Guaimim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.A.Francana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Daniel Hermes, was totally fooled by Guaimim FC's Valdomiro Pimenta, who 77 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cacá Peres in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Mesquita saved Guaimim FC from getting behind. When Cacá Peres came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the A.A.Francana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Peres couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Paulo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guaimim FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
