Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Genílson Mazza started the match with the kick off. Eduardo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno de Toledo having to interfere. In the 3rd match minute, Malicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. If Márcio de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 minutes, Márcio de Castro made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Malicia's Breno de Toledo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Assungui EC's zone, Luiz Gustavo Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maicon Jacinto came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genílson Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genílson Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agnaldo Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Malicia got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Mazza. Breno de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Melo in the 32nd minute of play forced Malicia's goalkeeper Breno de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Assungui EC's Umberto Vides was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Breno de Toledo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio de Castro in the 36th minute of play forced Malicia's goalkeeper Breno de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nando Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Márcio de Castro made a precise shot to the right of Breno de Toledo. Malicia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Breno de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agnaldo Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Melo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Malicia's Breno de Toledo. Assungui EC's Agnaldo Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Breno de Toledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agnaldo Melo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 96 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Assungui EC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
