A beautiful save bye Bonecu SS's goalie prevented a goal. Luiz Fernando Silveira took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Damião. Edmílson Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Atlético Céu Azul's Leonardo Peres in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bonecu SS's goalie prevented a goal. Diguinho Mangueira hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Edmílson Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Augusto de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Zé Augusto de Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Leonardo Peres notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião. Edmílson Damião was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto de Moraes in the 41st minute of play forced Bonecu SS's goalkeeper Edmílson Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleiton Faria's late challenge caught a Bonecu SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleiton Faria helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Luiz Fernando Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubinho Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Olívio Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Augusto de Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Damião having to make a save. With a little luck, Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião got control of the ball when Leonardo Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmílson Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. If Zé Augusto de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Augusto de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Leonardo Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edmílson Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
