After 8 played minutes, ABANDONEI O TIME's Valdemar Sá shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmílson Damião came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ABANDONEI O TIME reached it. After 10 played minutes Bonecu SS got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Cabral. Edmílson Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Netto in the 12th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Diguinho Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bonecu SS and the ABANDONEI O TIME players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Diguinho Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bonecu SS from getting a goal against them. Túlio Salgado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simão Bertassi. ABANDONEI O TIME's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Simão Bertassi came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Bonecu SS's Oséas Toscano. But to his dismay, Oséas Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Mathias Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bonecu SS's zone, Luiz Fábio Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Damião came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Oséas Toscano got free with Simão Bertassi in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simão Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Cardoso in the 56th minute of play. Rubinho Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Bertassi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nelson de Barros during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bonecu SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The referee gave ABANDONEI O TIME a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luciano Silveira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião. 1-2. ABANDONEI O TIME's Luiz Fábio Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute of the match Valdemar Sá shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmílson Damião showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edmílson Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, ABANDONEI O TIME's Raimundo Cavalcante got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bonecu SS's Valdir Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmílson Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Eger in the 80th minute of play. Edmílson Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ABANDONEI O TIME supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bonecu SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Bonecu SS.
