After recieving a nice pass, Real Matismo AT's Andrézinho de Queirós tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by João Augusto Terra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 13 minutes into the game, João Augusto Terra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sílvio Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Ho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hortêncio Cordeiro went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Hortêncio Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Goulart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Hortêncio Cordeiro in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 28 minutes into the match, Real Matismo AT's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Cordeiro came free, but Joel Ho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Augusto Terra got free with Sílvio Sabóia in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when João Augusto Terra sent off a good shot on target. Jean Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Sabóia having to interfere. Goulart's Sílvio Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Motta in the 37th minute of play. Real Matismo AT's João Augusto Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Sabóia was a little too slow when Remo Pinheiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto Terra took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Sabóia. Sílvio Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
