Bonecu SS's Edmílson Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Mandrak in the 29th minute of play. When Marco Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the SER ITATIAIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Mandrak couldn't finish the play. The SER ITATIAIA fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when SER ITATIAIA's Basílio Penha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. SER ITATIAIA's Marco Mandrak got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Rubinho Cardoso made the kick off in the second half. In the 94th match minute, Bonecu SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Nunes to maneuver through the defense. SER ITATIAIA played a much better game than Bonecu SS and deserved their victory. The Bonecu SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
