Dário Schmidts short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Luís Paulo Mesquita to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Mazinho Vergílio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luís Paulo Mesquita to make any attempt to save it. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Gernando Quadros put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mathias Guimarães. Luís Paulo Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dário Schmidt in the 31st minute. Mathias Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Guaimim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Vergílio came free, but Luís Paulo Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Mendes in the 42nd minute of play forced DIAMONDS's goalkeeper Mathias Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Guaimim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Maranhense came free, but Luís Paulo Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Quadros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathias Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

Gernando Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mathias Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Edgard Maranhense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIAMONDS and the Guaimim FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdomiro Pimenta, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mazinho Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovani Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Guimarães having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Schmidt in the 82nd minute of play forced Guaimim FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathias Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Mendes in the 85th minute of play. Dário Schmidt succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The supporters of Guaimim FC booed when DIAMONDS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edgard Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guaimim FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DIAMONDS.
