With a left leg Luisinho Urbano saved Santos Futebol Clube from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Santos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luisinho Urbano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís de Lima. After 23 played minutes Santos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Nunes. Sílvio Luís de Lima in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luisinho Urbano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jacuricy EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ademar Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 61 minutes, Valdomiro Aparecido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos Futebol Clube and the Jacuricy EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sílvio Luís de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacuricy EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luís de Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kléber Paraibano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisinho Urbano having to make a save. After 80 played minutes Santos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Donatello. Luisinho Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sílvio Luís de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Jacuricy EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luís de Lima couldn't finish the play. Carlos Eduardo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Jacuricy EC had been in control for most of the match, Santos Futebol Clube still came away with the win.
