Emílio Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Saldanha in the 28th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Para Sporting Clube's Maicon Ferreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Egídio de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Paranaense in the 46th minute of play.

In the 53rd match minute, Grêmio Copêro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Costa to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Moreno during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Para Sporting Clube got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Moreno. The supporters of Para Sporting Clube booed when Grêmio Copêro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grêmio Copêro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emílio Coutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 75 minutes into the match, Para Sporting Clube's goalkeeper Egídio de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Paranaense. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Copêro's zone, Diguinho Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Coutinho came out of the goal and Diguinho Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Paranaense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio de Amaral having to make a save. In the 82nd minute, Maicon Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egídio de Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Paranaense in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Diguinho Saldanha made a precise shot to the right of Emílio Coutinho. Grêmio Copêro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Para Sporting Clube had played much better football throughout.
