Júlio Magalhães yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Zé Roberto Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hawks's Raphael de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Arce in the 20th minute of play forced Hawks's goalkeeper Jarbas Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro Pirani hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Edvaldo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jarbas Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allan de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Edvaldo Arce scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarbas Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hawks's Raphael de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luiz Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jarbas Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Dias having to make a save. Hawks's Jarbas Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Cunha in the 44th minute of play. Edvaldo Arce succeeded in the game's 49th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvaldo Arce was the one to do the kick off. Raphael de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Magalhães having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zé Roberto Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Magalhães was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 64th minute Zé Roberto Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Zé Roberto Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hawks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Tião Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawks's protests and gave Tião Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for BRC Weed Dogs MZC. Reynaldo Machado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jarbas Dias. 2-3. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goalkeeper Júlio Magalhães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hawks's zone, Sílvio Luiz Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Dias came out of the goal and Sílvio Luiz Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarbas Dias made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Sílvio Luiz Cunha sent off a good shot on target. William Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. William Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael de Sousa in the 91st minute of play forced BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goalkeeper Júlio Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Edvaldo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRC Weed Dogs MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sílvio Luiz Cunha came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jarbas Dias could save by the left post. Raphael de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Júlio Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 101st minute, Zé Roberto Antunes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. The BRC Weed Dogs MZC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hawks from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
