After a rather tough play, Hawks's Allan de Queirós got a free kick in the 20th minute. José Pedro Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Dias having to interfere. Hawks's Jarbas Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Simões in the 24th minute of play. Jarbas Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, José Pedro Simões notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hawks's Jarbas Dias. Jarbas Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hawks's goalkeeper Jarbas Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emanuel Xavier was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Zé Roberto Antunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jarbas Dias came out of the goal and Glauco de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Emanuel Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael de Sousa in the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Roberto Antunes in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Xavier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zé Roberto Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Raphael de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Hawks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael de Sousa couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, Charlie Bravo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael de Sousa came free, but Emanuel Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th play minute Enio Fantini came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jarbas Dias. 1-2. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Charlie Bravo FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Xavier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Enio Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Zé Roberto Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raphael de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphael de Sousa scored 2-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Xavier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jarbas Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enio Fantini in the 88th minute. Zé Roberto Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Xavier having to interfere. Zé Roberto Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael de Sousa in the 94th minute of play. Raphael de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Xavier having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
