Spectators: 7195 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After recieving a nice pass, Umburatiba AD's Romário Nascimento tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edvaldo Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, BRC Weed Dogs MZC's Célio Recife threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edvaldo Arce, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umburatiba AD's goalkeeper Célio Recife, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match BRC Weed Dogs MZC got a corner. Umburatiba AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reynaldo Machado ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Reynaldo Machado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Célio Recife quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Umburatiba AD's Rubinho da Cunha in 25 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Júlio Magalhães guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a rather tough play, BRC Weed Dogs MZC's Ismael de Alcântara got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Umburatiba AD's Inácio Passos in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Umburatiba AD booed when BRC Weed Dogs MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umburatiba AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sílvio Luiz Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Célio Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Passos came free, but Júlio Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Célio Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ediberto Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Umburatiba AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BRC Weed Dogs MZC the free kick. In the 82nd minute Edvaldo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Edvaldo Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luiz Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
