BRC Weed Dogs MZC's Júlio Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save BRC Weed Dogs MZC from getting a goal against them. If Sílvio Luiz Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Zonta in the 57th minute of play forced BRC Weed Dogs MZC's goalkeeper Júlio Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Juarês Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Aloísio de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ismael de Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Oscar Lira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 76 minutes, Sílvio Luiz Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRC Weed Dogs MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luiz Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Juarês Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renatinho Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
