Lomba Grande SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caco Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Téo Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Neurônios EC's zone, Elói Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Téo Abraão came out of the goal and Elói Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastião Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Téo Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 46 minutes into the match, Caco Ferraz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Téo Abraão. Neurônios EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caco Ferraz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafim Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Caco Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Caco Ferraz sped through Neurônios EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Téo Abraão. Neurônios EC's Téo Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Pimenta in the 65th minute of play. Neurônios EC's Sebastião Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serafim Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Téo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Michel Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Lomba Grande SC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Caco Ferraz hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Caco Ferraz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Neurônios EC's Téo Abraão. Téo Abraão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Tony Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes Lomba Grande SC got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Paranaense. Many of Neurônios EC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Neurônios EC may have spent more time on the ball, but Lomba Grande SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
