The shot was a little too simple and Téo Abraão could save by the left post. In the 9th minute, Santos FC's Jeferson Dionísio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Cauan Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Téo Abraão made a huge save. Vitório Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Pimenta in the 39th minute of play. Jeferson Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Téo Abraão having to interfere. In the 46th minute, one of Santos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauan Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute Fred Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Téo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Correia struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Téo Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. 72 minutes into the game, Alan Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neurônios EC the free kick. In the 75th minute, Cauan Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Santos FC were awarded a corner. Ruy Matorin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ruy Matorin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Téo Abraão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Jeferson Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Fred Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeferson Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Téo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
