Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 60) Fred Correia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Brusque's Alan Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Vitório Lucas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Elder Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Dionísio in the 12th minute of the match. Brusque's Alan Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Félix came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Fred Correia. But to his dismay, Fred Correia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Murillo Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Vitório Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Brusque got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Mattos. A nice corner shot did that Manfredo Loureiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elder Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Brusque players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santos FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Alan Neto made the kick off in the second half. Elder Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jeferson Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Mattos was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Brusque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Jeferson Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Félix. Brusque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeferson Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Fred Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeferson Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 73rd minute, Fred Correia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elder Félix. The goal made the score 0-3. Fred Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murillo Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Vitório Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Jano Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fred Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Brusque getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jano Valle hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Fred Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Félix. Brusque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fred Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Santos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
