Spectators: 7271 (Terracing: 5455, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) ROTA 66's Rafinha Lira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ROTA 66's Jaime Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Paiva in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Stonehenge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Meira to maneuver through the defense. Cássio de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafinha Lira's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Cássio de Alcântara took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Marques. Chico Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cássio de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rafinha Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Cássio de Alcântara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ROTA 66 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Samuel Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Stonehenge FC's goalkeeper Chico Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Meira in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 32 played minutes Stonehenge FC got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Azevedo. After a defensive mix-up in Stonehenge FC's zone, Cássio de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Marques came out of the goal and Cássio de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Rafinha Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROTA 66's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafinha Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chico Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Lira in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Stonehenge FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Castro. In the 47th minute Rafinha Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Aparecido to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes ROTA 66 got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Trancoso. In the 56th minute Cássio de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Samuel Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Stonehenge FC booed when ROTA 66 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Castro, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Stonehenge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio de Alcântara came free, but Chico Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Waldemar Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROTA 66's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Rafinha Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chico Marques was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Chico Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio de Alcântara in the 78th minute of play. When Rafinha Lira came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the ROTA 66 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Lira couldn't finish the play. Jaime Paiva acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gilmar Miranda. When Rafinha Lira came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the ROTA 66 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafinha Lira couldn't finish the play. After having played for 95 minutes, Rafinha Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROTA 66's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafinha Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
