Yuri Trancoso was shown his second yellow card after 6 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Yuri Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Pimenta in the 12th minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Geovanni Passos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 吕翀岩 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinei Abraão in the 14th minute. Geovanni Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elói Luz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovanni Passos having to make a save. Geovanni Passos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim Pimenta went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Geovanni Passos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Ferraz in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Serafim Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Claudinei Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 吕翀岩 having to interfere. Serafim Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovanni Passos having to make a save. When Caco Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Lomba Grande SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Ferraz couldn't finish the play. Geovanni Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Serafim Pimenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3.
