In the 18th minute of the match Belmiro Mota shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidnei Marquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reynaldo Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Marquez having to interfere. Osvaldinho Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Marquez having to interfere. The supporters of Tucune FC booed when Codorna do Agreste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codorna do Agreste's André Luiz Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldinho Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sidnei Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Vander in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidnei Marquez saved Codorna do Agreste from getting behind. After 44 played minutes Tucune FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Faria. 46 minutes into the match, Codorna do Agreste's goalkeeper Sidnei Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Vaz.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Vander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sidnei Marquez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Vander went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tucune FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
