The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Machado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Foz FC booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clóvis Goiano took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Campidelis. Pedro Campidelis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Diamantino Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Couto in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Foz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Fred Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agostinho Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Linares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Couto in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelson Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Campidelis having to interfere. If Agostinho Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Foz FC's Nelson Sá dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Foz FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
