Diamantino Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Corrêa got free with Diamantino Linares in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Foz FC's Diamantino Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Catarinense in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute Vítor Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Saiterovisk Soccer Club's goalkeeper Tadeu Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Saiterovisk Soccer Club getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hamílton Goiano hit a great ball. Diamantino Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes, Paulo Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foz FC and the Saiterovisk Soccer Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Foz FC's Paulo Andrade got a free kick in the 27th minute. Saiterovisk Soccer Club's Sandrinho Vale shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Diamantino Linares but with some difficulty. Saiterovisk Soccer Club's Marcus Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavinho de Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diamantino Linares. Foz FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vítor Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Linares having to interfere. Diamantino Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Catarinense went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Corrêa in the 67th minute of play forced Foz FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jailson Freitas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. In the 68th match minute, Foz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Foz FC's zone, Vítor Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diamantino Linares came out of the goal and Vítor Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the match, Saiterovisk Soccer Club's Marcus Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diamantino Linares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Hamílton Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saiterovisk Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamílton Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Saiterovisk Soccer Club booed when Foz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saiterovisk Soccer Club's Hamílton Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Catarinense took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diamantino Linares. Diamantino Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Catarinense in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Saiterovisk Soccer Club had played much better football throughout.
