The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chiquinho Travassos during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Chiquinho Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Rui Diniz put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juninho Alves. 21 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anicuns SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. Ferroviária E. the free kick. Juninho Alves was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Luís Paulo Barreto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Paulo Barreto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Rui Diniz scored 3-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Beto Gomes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Juninho Alves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Antônio Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Anicuns SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Rui Diniz scored to the left of an out of position Juninho Alves, making the score, 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Alves having to interfere. Luís Paulo Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when A. Ferroviária E.'s Rui Diniz fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. With a little luck, A. Ferroviária E.'s Giuseppe Pena got control of the ball when Haroldo Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Anicuns SC's Otávio Queirós ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giuseppe Pena. Giuseppe Pena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Diniz in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juninho Alves saved Anicuns SC from getting behind. Luís Paulo Barreto struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Juninho Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. Ferroviária E.. In the 73rd minute Beto Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Queirós in the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Rui Diniz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Alves. Anicuns SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Diniz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. After 84 played minutes Anicuns SC got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Neiva. Juninho Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Sandro Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Juninho Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, A. Ferroviária E.'s Rui Diniz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juninho Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Anicuns SC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Queirós. In the 94thth minute of the game Rui Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anicuns SC's Juninho Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Gomes in the 97th minute of play forced Anicuns SC's goalkeeper Juninho Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that A. Ferroviária E. were the better team. A. Ferroviária E.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
