After 10 played minutes Alquimista FPA STAND BY got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Mello. In the 15th minute, Enéas Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When EMAD F.C's Dedé Pombal in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alquimista FPA STAND BY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute Oséias Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Alquimista FPA STAND BY's Oséias Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato de Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. EMAD F.C's Dedé Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséias Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dedé Pombal to make the kick off. Dedé Pombal took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Umberto Cunha. Umberto Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Inácio de Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oséias Mangueira in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 83 minutes, Juarês Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alquimista FPA STAND BY and the EMAD F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alquimista FPA STAND BY getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Juarês Meireles hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruy Eger in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto Cunha saved Alquimista FPA STAND BY from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Alquimista FPA STAND BY's zone, Ruy Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Umberto Cunha came out of the goal and Ruy Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
