D. 2 DE JULHO's Iuri Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Nilson Carioca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A. D. 2 DE JULHO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EMAD F.C the free kick. Nilson Carioca hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ruy Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. EMAD F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iuri Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th match minute, A. D. 2 DE JULHO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Iuri Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruy Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Válbson Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato de Lima having to interfere. Claudinei Prata's late challenge caught a A. D. 2 DE JULHO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinei Prata helped the player get up and apologised. EMAD F.C's Donato de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Matos in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Válbson Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. A. D. 2 DE JULHO's supporters rose to their feet, but Válbson Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Matos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato de Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of A. D. 2 DE JULHO booed when EMAD F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes EMAD F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vitinho Proença who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Carlos Augusto Arósio managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Dedé Pombal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fiori Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
