The supporters of Marionopolis SS booed when Ibicoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Ibicoara's goalkeeper Gino Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Vidal. Durvalino de Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durvalino de Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Hoffmann in the 76th minute of play forced Marionopolis SS's goalkeeper Hudson Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Marionopolis SS's Ricardinho Vidal got a free kick in the 77th minute. Gino Bastos came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Marionopolis SS's Durvalino de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Durvalino de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 83rd minute Durvalino de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durvalino de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Erivaldo Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marionopolis SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibicoara the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marionopolis SS's Erivaldo Pombal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the referee ended the match the Marionopolis SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
