Donato de Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Válbson Paraense got free with Donato de Lima in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of A. D. 2 DE JULHO booed when EMAD F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. D. 2 DE JULHO's Válbson Paraense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato de Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. A.
