Victor Simões was a little too slow when Inácio de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-0. Jonathan Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vágner Bezerra made a kick off. If Jonathan Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Dragão Carioca FC's Vágner Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vágner Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Válter de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Umberto Cunha made a huge save. In the 86th minute Geovani Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
