Durvalino de Medeiros took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Rocha. Rony Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 12th minute, Acácio Valle made a precise shot to the right of Hudson Valadares. Marionopolis SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 16 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Vidal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rony Rocha. Ricardinho Vidal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 21st minute, Durvalino de Medeiros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marionopolis SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Adrianinho Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Hudson Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Marionopolis SS's Ricardinho Vidal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. 33 minutes into the game, Marionopolis SS's Ricardinho Vidal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rony Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Rony Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardinho Vidal in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Zé Paulo Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marionopolis SS the free kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrianinho Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Club Atlético MZ defense, Durvalino de Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Rocha. The Club Atlético MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Rocha should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Vidal in the 60th minute of play forced Club Atlético MZ's goalkeeper Rony Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Acácio Valle came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Club Atlético MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Valle couldn't finish the play. Ricardinho Vidal got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Rony Rocha handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Adrianinho Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson Valadares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rony Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Vidal in the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ricardinho Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino de Medeiros in the 83rd minute of play forced Club Atlético MZ's goalkeeper Rony Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino de Medeiros took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Rocha. Rony Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Rony Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Acácio Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rony Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Marionopolis SS's Hudson Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Alagoano in the 94th minute of play. Marionopolis SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
