Franklin Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Bastos went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tony de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. David Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Abreu in the 34th minute of play forced Salimen's goalkeeper David Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Benedito Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Xavier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dorival Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 83rd match minute, CR Cachaça da Gama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Marquez to maneuver through the defense.
