Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ricardinho Senna kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Morrinho SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Moreira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 4 minutes, Valdo Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HARDCORE F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Valdo Alves came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the HARDCORE F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Alves couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Valdo Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. HARDCORE F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandinho de Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bebeto Goiano hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ricardinho Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho de Salles having to interfere. After a rather tough play, HARDCORE F.C.'s Róbson Paes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in HARDCORE F.C.'s zone, Armando Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Braga came out of the goal and Armando Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Franklin Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HARDCORE F.C.'s protests and gave Franklin Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. Franklin Galvão hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Bebeto Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Acácio Machado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Morrinho SC's Fernandinho de Salles didn't even have to move. 38 minutes into the match, Morrinho SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Senna came free, but Fernandinho de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Senna in the 42nd minute of play forced Morrinho SC's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Messias in the 43rd minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Messias to make the kick off. If Valdo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Morrinho SC defense, Valdo Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandinho de Salles. The Morrinho SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandinho de Salles should have stopped the shot. If Juan Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silas Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Messias in the 63rd minute of play. Ricardinho Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho de Salles having to interfere. Ricardinho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Fernandinho de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Morrinho SC got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Goiano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Senna in the 76th minute of play forced Morrinho SC's goalkeeper Fernandinho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fernandinho de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Senna notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Morrinho SC's Fernandinho de Salles. Fernandinho de Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valdo Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandinho de Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Frédson Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Morrinho SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for HARDCORE F.C..
